Description

Fixed Term for 14 months to cover maternity, Part Time 22.2 hours per week. Your working pattern can be discussed and flexibility is available within the role.


The M&E team has an exciting opportunity for a 14-month contract due to maternity to join our M&E team and help with the delivery of the heat metering, billing and maintenance for our communal heating systems.


Bristol City Council is responsible for approximately 3000 properties that are connected to various communal heating systems across 63 sites.


You will be working as part of the M&E team in the heat metering team to ensure that effective billing can be competed for all 3000 properties.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for communicating with various teams and working collaboratively to enable accurate bills to be created and delivered to residents within statutory timescales.


You will also be responsible for ensuring reactive and planned maintenance is carried out to heat metering equipment, dealing with complaints and offering guidance to residents on their bills and energy saving advice.


During the secondment it will give you the opportunity to work with ambitious team members with a high level of technical knowledge and will be a brilliant learning opportunity for someone wanting to move into a more technical related role whilst still being able to use their excellent communication skills.

How do I apply?
**For permanent Bristol City Council employees, this post will be a secondment.

For employees who are currently on a fixed term contract with Bristol City Council, the secondment must not extend beyond the end of the fixed term period to ensure there is a substantive post to return to.

If you are currently a casual worker or a member of an employment agency (currently working with Bristol City Council) this post will be a fixed term contract.
**Shortlisting will take place on 8th of April.

Interviews are expected to take the week of the 15th
of April.
