We have an exciting opportunity for a well organised and self-motivated
Lecturer in Childcare/Teaching Assistant
to join the East Durham College Team on an hourly paid basis.


Main Duties of the Role:


Your role will be to deliver an ambitious curriculum to all by flexibly and efficiently to maintain the highest professional standards in the delivery of allocated teaching programmes, including the associated organisational, coordination and administrative responsibility.


Essential Requirement:


  • Relevant and current industrial experience and/or A level 4 or above teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE) or willing to work towards
  • Minimum of Level 3 qualification ind Health, Care or a Childcare related discipline
  • Experience of supporting learning in an educational environment.
  • Recent industrial / vocational / occupational updating.
  • Ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines.
  • Suitability to work with children and/or vulnerable adults.
