We are currently seeking a highly motivated and professional practitioner to join our expanding theatre department within the Division of Surgery & Perioperative Care.
We are seeking a band 6 practitioner to develop and implement education and continued professional development (CPD) within the perioperative team.
With over 19 theatres over 2 floors covering Neurosurgery, Spinal Surgery, Renal, Pain Service, ENT, Neuro X Ray, MR Scan, General, Upper and Lower GI, Orthopaedic and we provide a dedicated 24 hour Emergency service, and a further development of the Greater Manchester Major Trauma hospital a further 5 operating theatres and associated recovery rooms will provide increased demand for the education team.
You should have extensive post qualification perioperative experience preferably in post operative care high dependency care (L2) or critical care (L3), Assessor/supervisor or relevant experience and have a portfolio that demonstrates a commitment to education/teaching.
Covering a 7 day week using a variety of shift patterns the education team are at the forefront of supporting learners and developing staff members.
Due to the nature of the specialties variation to shift patterns may be required; some rotation onto nights will be a future development.
Shift patterns can be discussed at interview.
