Description

Objectives:

To assist in the clerical and administration of the care home and to ensure that administration of the home is operated to the highest standard.

To have a genuine interest in the daily running of a care home.

Desirable:

Experience in working in an administrative environment, having the relevant skills such as IT, organisational and presentation skills, as well as the ability to multi task and work well under pressure.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Devising and maintaining office systems.


Be able to be front of house and to welcome visitors as well as being able to show prospective clients the home.

To be aware and comply with all working practices currently operated within the home.


To be able to answer and manage phone calls in a professional manner, taking and reporting messages to relevant persons/departments.

Sort and distribute incoming post and organising and sending outgoing post

Ordering and maintaining stationary

Liaise with colleagues and external contacts


To ensure your physical and personal appearance enhances the image of the home, and to develop a supporting working relationship with colleagues.

To report immediately any complaints from relatives and residents to the person in charge.

To report any accidents to residents or staff to the person in charge.

Attend and head meetings, taking minutes and keeping notes.

To maintain confidentiality at all times.

To undertake any other duties as and when required.

Complete daily, weekly and monthly wages to a high standard

Complete and send to head office the monthly supplier bills in the order required.

Maintain the petty cash with the supervision of the facilities manager

Maintain the resident personal money

Maintain robust archiving

Maintain supplies of brochures for the home for prospective clients

To be able to work in a professional and organised capacity

Ensure all discontinued paperwork including care plans are archived within the homes policies and procedures.

Complete debt management in a timely manner


Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£10.42-£11.00 per hour
