Accounts Assistant - Permanent

Duties:


  • Uploading of Sales Invoices to Sage and Customer Statement Reconciliation's
  • Liaise with Customer Services to resolve Issues, Preparation of Trade Debtors for review by Head of Finance
  • Review and collection of Debtor balances in a timely manner and ensuring adherence to Standard Terms & Conditions
  • Develop use and understand functionality of Sage within the business
  • Maintenance of Fixed Asset register and posting of Depreciation journals
  • Review and posting of monthly prepaids
  • Maintenance of specified Nominal Control accounts such as Staff Sales
  • Analysis of Key Accounts and keeping of records for Yearend purposes
  • Maintain companies cash books and develop forecast model
  • Report to Head of Finance on position daily
  • Preparation of Subsidiary Accounts and VAT returns where applicable for review by Head of Finance
  • Ensure filing is kept in good order and records can be retrieved easily
  • Provide cover for Head of Finance and Accounts Payable in their absence and posting of daily cash
  • Compilation and distribution of daily reports after approval
  • Maintain Finance Manual for review by Head of Finance

Experience Required:


  • Extensive knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts within the last 3 years
  • Must have previous Credit Control experience


  • Team player

  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal departments
  • Ability to complete sometimes complex Customer account reconciliations
  • IT Literate (Sage 50 Accounts, Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook)
Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm with 30 minutes for lunch
Hybrid (2 days WFH)
30k-35k DOE
Free Parking
Must drive due to company location
