Hours Required:
Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm with 1 hour for lunch. Would also consider 30 hours a week. Occasional weekend work - maybe 4-5 times a year as necessary


Driver:
Yes, and car will be provided whilst on duty


Summary:


Duties to include:

  • Laundry washing, preparing and listing items for dry cleaning, ironing, care of wardrobes
  • Cleaning both light and heavy duty of the household, fabrics, fixtures, fittings, furniture, coverings, chattels, objects d'art, pool house and outside areas. Will include silver & brass polishing. Training will be given where necessary.
  • Servicing and cleaning of all rooms whilst the family is in residence, at the direction of family, house manager or housekeeper.
  • Turning down, bed making and servicing of bedrooms and bathrooms of bedrooms when bedrooms are in use
  • Cleaning of fireplaces and relaying of fires throughout the house
  • Setting tables, serving and clearing of tables, polishing tableware and glass care.
  • Kitchen light and heavy duties, to include helping chef/ Housekeeper with preparation, cleaning and washing of vegetables from garden, washing up. Cleaning kitchen equipment and washing floors. Preparation of light meals for family in the absence of chef.
  • Cleaning of estate offices, vacuuming, dusting and removal of waste.
  • Maintenance and cleaning of interiors and exteriors of vehicles including driving and living areas of horsebox.
  • Driving and shopping errands as necessary
