Description

An overseas banking institution wish to recruit a client onboarding manager to lead a team of 7 ensuring effective client onboarding, periodic review and quality control.


Main Duties
Lead and manage the client onboarding team: set and modify staff objectives and carry out regular appraisal of performance against these objectives; develop the knowledge and expertise of CoB staff and ensure the team is fully informed of matters relevantto their roles

Manage the Bank's new client and client periodic review process to ensure they are completed on time and in accordance with Bank policy

Manage the Bank's non-standard relationship process to ensure it is completed on time and in accordance with Bank policy

Manage the Bank's ongoing screening process to ensure screening is completed timely and in accordance with Bank policy

Manage and conduct the CoB quality control ("QC") process to ensure the quality of the CoB team output is maintained in accordance with Bank policy

Draft, update and provide guidance to CoB team on CoB procedures and process flows covering AML/KYC on clients and non-standard relationships

Maintain a strong relationship the Financial Crime Compliance team and partner with them on AML/KYC policy and procedures matters

Responsibility for the day-to-day identification, ownership and management of conduct risk and controls through the continuing development and implementation of the Bank's conduct risk framework processes


Experience Required
At least 5-10 years' experience in a client on-boarding, QC or AML compliance advisory role with demonstrable career development in senior leadership positions in the wholesale or investment banking sector

Team/people management experience is a pre-requisite, with demonstrable experience in turning around low-performing teams

Detailed knowledge of the UK Money Laundering Regulations and UK JMLSG Guidance Notes, including CDD and EDD requirements
