What is required of me as a Cover Supervisor?
The role of a Cover Supervisor is to predominately, supervise a classroom. There is no planning or preparation involved - _you are not expected to teach_.
The cover supervisor's main job is to manage a classroom, distribute the task set and ensure that students remain on task.
Do I need to be a qualified teacher to work as a Cover Supervisor?
No, you don't need to hold Qualified Teacher Status to work as a Cover Supervisor. There are no specific qualifications required, however previous experience teaching or working with children are preferred.
How much will I be paid?
Rate is
always discussed and confirmed prior to any booking and is dependent on skillset, length of assignment and experience, however, will range between
£70 - £90 per day.

Specific responsibilities include:
- Ensuring a constructive working environment
- Ensuring pupils complete all set work.
- Recording attendance in accordance with school policy
- Following the school behavioural policy
- Following all school safeguarding policies and procedures
