Special Educational Needs Support Assistant


Are you looking to gain valuable experience in education? Protocol Education is looking for enthusiatic people to join the team and support young learners across Lincolnshire under a multitude of opportunities.


The role will include:


  • Support students in their learning and personal development to maximize their progress.
  • Assist fellow staff members in ensuring that students with additional needs receive appropriate support, engage in their learning, and become integrated into the school community.
  • Supporting Students in Their Learning and Personal Growth
  • Serve as the Keyworker for students with EHCPs, conducting regular 11 sessions, and representing and supporting them during annual review meetings.
  • Facilitate small group and 11 interventions for identified students under the direction of the SENDCO.
  • Aid in the mobility of students with physical disabilities and/or sensory impairments within the school.
  • Provide support for the personal care needs of students with physical disabilities.
  • Collaborate to eliminate learning barriers for students with SEND using a creative, childcentered, and empathetic approach.
  • Supporting Integration of Students with Additional Needs
  • Effectively communicate with staff regarding the needs and progress of students with SEND.
  • Assist in the implementation of exam access arrangements.
  • Be enthusiastic and proactive in their attitude to the role
  • Have a consistent and objective approach to pupils both in and outside of the classroom
  • Be passionate about educating young people and instilling confidence in students' abilities in lessons
  • Knowledge and awareness of SEN needs and any implemented academic adjustments
  • Have a proven track record in similar roles or institutions and the right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
