Main responsibilities will include:

  • Accurately process invoices ensuring payments are made in a timely manner.
  • Raise invoices through the Academy's financial system.
  • Use finance system to raise purchase orders prior to ordering goods and services in line with financial regulations.
  • Assist in the maintenance, control and monitoring of all monies in the school in particular petty cash, including processing claims reconciling cash and receipts, and balancing cash in accordance with Academy's financial procedures.
  • Be the main point of contact and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
  • Assist in ensuring value for money.
  • Supporting the production of monthly and periodic reports to the relevant stake holders.
  • Reconcile the bank on a monthly basis.
  • Manage the unreconciled items to a minimum.
  • Lead on the day to day management of the Scopay system (parent payment system). Including the setting up of payment items, running reports, posting payments onto the financial system and reconcile within the agreed timeframe.
  • Manage the Academy debit card, including entry of transactions and reconciliation of statements.
  • Support budget holders by regularly reporting income and expenditure to ensure operating within allocated budgets.
  • Raise internal journals specific to the Academy onto the finance system (e.g. pupil premium), as directed.
  • Support The Academy Business Director in preparation for internal and external audits.
  • To assist in the closure of annual accounts
  • To establish effective working relationships with external bodies as necessary.
  • Process Salary summaries onto the Academy's financial system.
  • Complete regular payments runs by BACs or occasionally by cheque.
To ensure all signing rules are applied in accordance to the Academy's finance policy


Salary:
£21,368.00-£23,417.00 per year
