An opportunity has arisen for a Medical Education Administrator.

This role involves liaising and establishing strong communication links with various levels of staff across the Trust to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Medical Education Department within the Education Centre.


The postholder will work alongside the Senior Undergraduate Administrator with the management of clinical placement timetables for 4thYear and 5thYear Medical Students.

The postholder will coordinate and administrate the induction programme for all trainees, including locally employed doctors.

The postholder will also process all Medical & Dental Study Leave.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity of enrolling onto a suitable apprenticeship programme.

Support the Senior Undergraduate Administrator, Medical School Undergraduate Tutors and Specialty Leads to coordinate allocate and mage the clinical placement timetables of 4th, 5th an 6th tear medical students assigned to the trust,

Manage the final year and fifth year medical student observed structure clinical examinations and formative assessments,

Provide support and advice to the SAS Tutor in the management and delivery of postgraduate medical education.

Provide support and advice to the LED Tutor with the management and delivery of education to locally employed doctors.

Maintain financial records.

The postholder will support the Clinical Sub-Dean, SAS Tutor, LED Tutor and Medical Education Manager (Operational) to ensure that the standards and objectives of the educational agreement between the Trust and Health Education East of England Multi-Professional Deanery are met.


To co-ordinate and administrate the medical student clinical placements within the Trust in consultation with the Clinical Sub-Dean and Undergraduate Tutors.

To co-ordinate and administrate the SAS programme in consultation with the SAS College Tutor.

To support the LED tutor with the coordination and administration of the education programme for locally employed doctors.
