Our very exciting and nationally praised retail client is looking to bring a highly dynamic and adaptable Assistant Financial Accountant into their large multi-faceted finance function, based out of the heart of Birmingham.

You will be joining a progressiveand established finance team that will put you and your growth at the heart of what you do.

As a part qualified, assistant financial accountant, you will be assisting in the creation of monthly management reports, the creation of accrual and prepayment journals, and reconcile the balance sheets alongside the banks.

Due to the nature of the business,you will be doing this for a variety of company sites, and assist with VAT returns and audits.

Ideally, you will;

Be confident in your level of Excel, including the implementation of pivot tables.
Have assisted with the preparation of statutory accounts
Have an understanding of VAT and tax returns.
Be able to comfortably read and analyse a balance sheet and assist with variance analysis.
