Applications are invited for the position of Evaluation and Monitoring Coordinator (Widening Participation) based in the Cambridge Admissions Office.


The post is part of the Undergraduate Admissions and Data Services Team, which supports the Colleges with a range of undergraduate admissions processes, including UCAS, My Cambridge Application, data provision for moderation purposes, pre-interview Admissions Assessments, and the organisation of the Winter and Summer Pools.

The post sits within the Team's Research Unit.


Reporting to the Research Analyst (Widening Participation, Evaluation and Monitoring), the post holder will contribute towards the evaluation of outreach and widening participation activity across the Collegiate University, and work closely with a variety of stakeholders and practitioners.


The post holder will be responsible for coordinating the University's usage of the Higher Education Access Tracker (HEAT), including training members of staff to use HEAT, liaising with the HEAT central team, and administrating the University's HEAT database.

They will be responsible for running reports, generating and reporting engagement statistics, and feeding these into the University's evaluation framework.


As part of the wider research and evaluation team within ADS, the post holder will also be responsible for sourcing, cleansing and collating a wide range of primarily quantitative data from multiple sources (both internally and externally) and will provide support to the Research Analyst (Widening Participation, Evaluation and Monitoring).


They will ensure a continual and consistent data stream into databases for reporting purposes and ensure that this data is of sufficiently high quality to facilitate tracking, evaluation and monitoring of outreach and widening participation activity.


They will ensure that all data is stored appropriately at all times in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA They will also support the University's Access and Participation Community of Practice.


Applicants should be educated to at least first degree level or have significant relevant work experience, have excellent organisational, communication, administrative, and IT skills as well as experience of working within an office environment.

Experience of working with databases and large datasets is desirable.

The post holder will work as part of a strong team whilst prioritising and planning their individual workload in order to meet deadlines.
