    rising by 4% upon successful probationary period


Stockport Without Abuse (SWA) is a grassroots charity committed to supporting our vision of everyone having a right to live in safety, and to have a future without fear of domestic abuse.

We work directly with women, men and children who have experienced or are at risk of domestic abuse.


We are looking to recruit a Children and Young People's (CYP) Support Worker and Group Facilitator to help deliver our specialist CYP project in the community to a group of children, primarily providing a flexible holistic range of trauma informed services for children and young people in the Stockport borough.


Main purpose of the post:


  • Support children and their families to improve their quality of life through organising play and after school sessions, family work and direct work packages surrounding the issues and effects of domestic abuse.
  • Liaise with schools across the borough and deliver specialist workshops in school and community settings, and deliver training around domestic abuse to professionals.
  • Support with the delivery of SWA's prevention work in other settings across the borough.
