Role Description


Brunel requires a Project Manager/Business Analyst to be responsible for the overall delivery of the FOT business case with responsibilities to include execution of the requirements analysis phase and the market/vendor assessment.


The project will be jointly sponsored by the COO and CIO, with daily task line reporting into the Head of Ops and project oversight provide by the Operations Change Manager.

The role holder will have responsibility for the following activities:

  • Perform requirements gathering and analysis to deliver a clear set of agreed business and system requirements
  • Work with the Data Strategy workstream to understand interdependencies and ensure data requirements are captured.
  • Lead the vendor options analysis to ensure understanding of the market offering and the options available.
  • Produce a fully costed business case with options analysis and benefit case to ensure absolute clarity of scope and to gain approval for the subsequent procurement phase.
  • Develop and manage the project plan, detailing project deliverables and identifying resource and budgetary needs
  • Create governance timeline showing decision points (internal and external) to take requirements and business case artefacts through to approval.
  • Create stakeholder communication plans, clearly defining impact and roles/responsibilities with stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Engage with business and client stakeholders to ensure comms and messaging are provided throughout.
  • Identify, record, assess and manage the risks associated with the project, escalating appropriately
  • Provide regular project status reporting for management committees and where required, attending management meetings to communicate project progress
