Description

Our client, a worldwide leader in the delivery of offshore projects and services for the energy industry is currently seeking an Environmental Specialist on hight calibre on STAFF basis.

Role can be based in either Aberdeen office or London office. Lucrative Package on offer.


ROLE:


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of processes, procedures, work methods and initiatives in support of the Company's overall environmental strategies.
  • Advise on external 'Circular Economy' and 'Waste' best practise.
  • Complete a waste 'deep dive' understand our waste data and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Work closely with engineering and supply chain management functions to develop environmental initiatives.
  • Auditing of environmental management systems.
  • Liaising with all regions and worksites to coordinate waste management, collate data and share best practice.
  • Prepare for future environmental legislative requirements.
  • Support Group Environmental function with Environmental Management System (EMS).
  • Support the Group Environmental Director with environmental planning and strategy.
  • Work with Projects & Offshore Operations to improve robustness of offshore waste data.
  • Assist in response to environmental incidents and risks as required.
  • Ensure HSE capitalises from lessons learned and is performed in accordance with best practice, continuing to identify risks and opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Degree / Academic qualification in an Environmentrelated discipline, HSEQ, Sustainability, Business / Commercial or Engineering.
  • Relevant experience in an Environmental or Sustainability role.
  • Experience in Waste Management.
  • Think effectively and be able to challenge and work with various layers of the organisation and in a team.
  • Creative and resultoriented attitude.
  • Strong networking, influencing, communication, presentation and analytical skills.
  • Passion for Environment and Sustainability.
  • Willingness to travel when required for the job.
