Description
We are pleased to be expanding our capacity for child counselling and recruiting for a children's counsellor to work with children year-olds) who have been affected by rape and sexual abuse. We are looking for a counsellor to join us and provide 5 counselling sessions a week (1 day).

Requirements for the post:


  • CYP qualified counsellor
  • Evidence of solid experience working with CYP who have experienced trauma,
  • Knowledge and experience of working with issues of rape and sexual abuse,
  • A commitment to identifying and challenging inequalities,
  • Membership of BACP/UKCP or equivalent professional organisation
Experience of carrying out assessments and risk assessments

  • Knowledge and experience of working with safeguarding and Child Protection issues
  • Knowledge and understanding of child development, transitions, and mental health in the context of the impacts of rape and sexual abuse
  • Experience of working with multiagency working processes
  • Ability to establish and maintain ethical and professional working relationships with children
parents/caregivers, and a range of professionals


General duties:


  • Attend and participate in regular training, line management meetings, supervision, and other service meetings as necessary within the EKRCC team
  • Be committed to personal and professional development and undertake relevant training and CPD
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on issues relevant to survivors of sexual abuse and sexual violence
  • To provide effective and safe case management
  • To manage a traumainformed pathway between survivors and our services,
  • To provide administrative support to service teams

£25.00 per hour
