We have an exciting opportunity to join Kito Crosby as Machine Production Operator based in Cradley Heath, West Midlands.

Our Cradley Heath site is a well-established drop forge with over 100 years trading.


The main objective of the Machine Production Operator role is to carry out production, inspection, packaging and all machine operation duties ensuring that hourly and daily production output targets are achieved.


Machine Production Operator Duties include:


  • Conduct daily start up and closure checklists to ensure all safety & 5S requirements are in place
  • Carry out production, inspection, packaging & all machine operation duties
  • Control & monitor machine settings to ensure maximum output according to standard requirements
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment at all times
  • Ensure hourly & daily production output targets are achieved
  • Hourly update of the machine data collection sheet recording part count achievement & lost time reasons
  • Support hour by hour & day by day production plan adjustments
  • Support the tool changeover process (as required) & ensure all standards are respected according to the quality and efficiency target
  • Daily cleaning & 1st level maintenance of all machinery
  • Fork lift truck & crane operation (as required)
  • Ensure post forge production output is respecting all quality & technical requirements.
  • Inspect parts with precision & measuring tools.
  • Check output to detect any machine or process related issues.
  • Involvement in immediate countermeasures & corrective actions for all notified quality defects or customer incidents.

Required skills:


  • Demonstrated machining / CNC skills
  • Ability to read drawings & technical documentation
  • Attention to detail
  • Fork lift truck licence
