12 hour night shifts working 4 on 4 off

Based at supported housing accommodation

Duties To Include

• To preserve and protect the safety and security of residents, staff and the building
• Providing a professional, secure and friendly front of house service
• To be the central point of contact for the client and residents throughout the clients managed housing properties. For example dealing with emergencies, Fire, Police and summoning medical attention.
• Performing office duties, dealing with residents and telephone enquiries
• Secure premises and carrying out security patrols
• Monitoring CCTV
• Authorised access and egress control
• Completing reports by recording observations, occurrences and activities and reporting issues to the client on handover

Desired Work Experience:

• Extensive experience of security
• Experience of dealing with difficult people and handling conflict appropriately
• Experience of working in supported housing/living environment
• Awareness of health and safety issues regarding security
• Experience of handling confidential information

Qualifications:

• SIA licence
• Must have basic computer skills (word/excel)
• Good literacy & numeracy

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to work with mínimal supervision and use own initiative
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding the needs of people with potential dependency and health issues
• Ability to patrol building regularly and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies
• Ability to deal with conflict and diffuse situations with confidence
