We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Assistant to join our team.

As the Perth Engineering Assistant you will have responsibility for the day to day delivery of a customer facing engineering service in collaboration with the onsite team to escort and provide work permits alongside the engineering team.

The role will deliver excellence in all aspects of engineering & asset management.

To ensure that the delivery method and measurement or performance of engineering services across the Perth estate includes statutory compliance, audit readiness and equipment resilience.

This to include fulfilment of planned maintenance obligations, training and development of site staff and supporting the Head of Technical Services with reporting, compliance, remedial activities and overall service delivery as it relates to Technical Services.

  • Delivery of planned engineering services and activities in Perth, including planned maintenance, subcontracted works, compliance, technical resilience, asset management, project pipeline, training and development
  • Escorting all subcontractors when carrying out works or quoting for works, to include the issuance of work permits in line with the type of work being carried out
  • High standard of delivery for Engineering and Fabric services, including those services provided through supplier organisations
  • Ensure that critical systems are maintained and are providing the environmental conditions and business needs required by the clients.
  • Ensure that all PPM, reactive and project works are within the agreed contract arrangements, delivered to consistent and common processes and methodologies and are fully compliant with statutory and H&S requirements
  • Demonstrate governance and compliance through the effective implementation of site documentation and ISS CAFM management systems
  • Take ownership and demonstrate continuous improvements to the engineering services in collaboration with the Head of Technical Services for ISS
  • Interface with ISS CSR, H&S and compliance teams to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures to the engineering service delivery model.
  • Support the Workplace Management team in delivery of exceptional customer experiences
  • Support the continued improvement of our people engagement across all teams.
  • Give regular feedback on procedures to the Head of Technical Services, e.g., processes that are not making sense, or risks you have identified in existing procedures
  • Engage with all vendor and building management teams as appropriate to ensure excellent facilities service delivery, escalating any service delivery issues/failures to the Head of Technical Services
  • Report all incidents and exposure to risks to the Head of Technical Services or Facilities Manager so that they can be investigated and reported in the client's risk system as required.
  • Respond to any Alarm Viewer alerts, action, escalate and report as necessary operational teams both domestically and Internationally
  • To comply with the company and client Health & Safety policies
  • To wear personal protective equipment as required, when carrying out specific duties
  • Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all electrical and mechanical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and asset lists
  • Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the building are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made. These reactive calls to also include concessionary stores and fabric related items
  • Ensure that plant faults and defects are always swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order
  • Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment. To include the wearing of uniform and PPE always
  • Supervising and monitoring of subcontractors works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance
  • Ensure an awareness and compliance to the contractual KPI's/SLA's
  • Ensure Computer Based Maintenance system, e.g. Tririga, is kept up to date and that PPM and remedial tickets are closed out with accurate data captured
  • Any other task as directed by the Site management team
  • All other tasks defined by the client
  • To be available for adhoc manual handling tasks and lastminute general office changes
  • To ensure all allocated storage rooms are kept tidy and in full working order
  • Report all facilities related and maintenance issues to the Helpdesk, including issues identified in the landlord's areas
