Description

I require a Repairs Manager with an extensive repairs background immediately for a housing association in Surrey/London and south East, on a permanent contract overseeing repairs issues and developing a team of repairs surveyors.

Provide leadership, advice and guidance to the team, contractors and subcontractors.

Repairs Manager duties:

Review and agree pricing documents and variation requests for responsive repair work.
Contribute to the effective and efficient running of the business, achieving targets and objectives that are set.
Undertaking contract management including controlling project certificates and associated project administration.
Together with the Head of Repairs and the Repairs Manager develop processes and procedures for responsive repairs.
To own and manage disrepair cases to a successful conclusion.
Challenge the performance of contractors in all aspects of service delivery including quality of works, value for money, efficiency and adherence to priorities, work programmes and appointment procedures.

To be successful as the Repairs Manager, you need:

Passion for service excellence and continuous improvement.
HNC or similar Qualification or the ability to demonstrate suitable experience to meet the requirements of this role.
Knowledge of housing maintenance, repair specifications, diagnosing defects and remedial works.

Experience of managing colleagues in a repairs environment.
High level of technical knowledge and analysis skills in a maintenance environment.
Knowledge of key procurement requirements and Financial Regulations.
