A rare opportunity to work for an international brand that's established themselves firmly within the manufacturing industry, operating out of their offices in Derby, is now seeking an Assistant Accountant and stay with them as they continue to create futuresuccess too.
To be clear - This is an SME with a deep history and operates worldwide.Minimum Assistant Accountant Requirements:
- Part qualified in ACCA/CIMA (or qualified by experience)
- Previous experience within a Finance Department
- A Level or AAT qualification preferred
- Strong numeracy and Excel skills
This will either be a new role, with someone stepping in for the first time after gaining experience elsewhere or well suited to someone that wants to continue in this type of role in the long-term.
You'll mainly focus of this role will be to support the Head of Finance in overseeing all areas of the finance function, particularly including cashflow and similar.
As Assistant Accountant you'll also be involved in:
- Managing cashflow forecasts, weekly cashbook reconciliations, multi -currency accounts and banking
- Producing monthly management accounts
- Reconciling of key balance sheet and profit and loss accounts each month
- Preparing and posting month end journals
- Preparing Vat Returns
- Running stock reports and sales analyses and reconciling to the nominal Ledger
- Assisting in the preparation of the year end statutory financial statements
- Preparing and submitting forms for HMRC, Pensions and other external sources
Circa. £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Office Hours = 36.5 hour week - 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday - Thursday with a 4:00pm finish on Friday
