Head of Residential Care - ASAP Start - £35,000 - £43,000 p/a - Permanent - South-West London
An exciting and unique permanent opportunity has come up at a residential provision for deaf children and/or with complex needs.
- 40 hours per week with 2 weekly overnight shifts

Person Specification
- Level 2 British Sign Language or Native BSL user (essential)
- Level 5 Health and Social Care (or desire to work towards achieving it)
- Resilient, enthusiastic and ambitious
- An innovative and proactive mindset, dedicated to making positive change (essential)
- Passionate about supporting complex needs, challenging behaviours, SpLCD and deaf children
- Dedicated to making a difference in the everyday lives in young people
- Experience working with young people with complex needs and challenging behaviours (essential)
- A commitment to working restoratively and therapeutically with young people (essential)
- Experience managing a children's residential home (desirable)
- Experience managing a small team (essential)
- Budget management experience (essential)
- Excellent time management and organisation skills (essential)
- A strong understanding, knowledge and commitment of safeguarding (essential)
- The ability to build positive working relationships and ensuring excellent communication with internal and external staff and students (essential)
About the Role/Provision
An 'Outstanding' Ofsted-rated residential provision specialising in providing care for deaf and SpLCD students aged between 11 and 19 years with a range of complex communication, sensory and physical needs.
