Our legal team is growing, and we have opportunities for two Senior Advocate Lawyers - Safeguarding.


A comprehensive induction programme will be given to all new colleagues including any additional support for those wishing to make a move from the private to public sector.

*Our Team Structure*The Legal Services Team is made up of 4 teams: (1) Legal Practice Team; (2) Commercial; (3) Safeguarding; and (4) Regulatory. The Practice Team is newly created to provide an administrative and supportive 'hub' for the legal teams.

Senior Advocate Lawyers - Safeguarding


To act as a leading professional within a specialist team the role will have a focus on delivering specialist, effective advocacy, advice, and representation in child safeguarding matters, including in courts and tribunals on behalf of the Council's Legal Services Team.


To deliver effective training resources and training sessions to the inhouse legal team, officers, elected members (and others where appropriate).


Support the development of trainee and apprentice solicitors, legal executives, and others, particularly in relation to court advocacy and court skills.
