Description

A rare opportunity has arisen, as the Head of Assistive Technology, to lead the Assistive Technology services within the SMART (Southeast Mobility and Rehabilitation Technology) Services.

These are based at the SMART Centre, Astley Ainslie Hospital, and the Community Equipment Store, Peffermill Industrial Estate, Edinburgh.

The postholder will lead, manage, coordinate and direct the delivery of the Assistive Technology services and provide specialist clinical scientist support to other SMART Services.

They will be accountable for compliance with the Medical Devices Regulations and related regulations, policies and quality standards in the services which are the responsibility of the postholder.

They will also be responsible for the management of a small but highly specialised caseload.
