Description

We are recruiting for a Permanent Skilled Mechanical Assembler/Fitter for a global manufacturing company in Ferndown, Dorset.

The company produces innovative over wrapping machinery that is supplied to some of the world's biggest names in Confectionery, Cosmetics, Food and Tobacco industries.

Salary:
£13.08 per hour (£26,526 per annum) with regular overtime paid at £19.62 per hour

Hours: 39 hours per week, days (Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 4.45pm & Friday 7.30am pm)

The Role:

Assembly of the main machine components (Sub-Assemblies) within the machine frame which includes:
Installation of the main machine drive (Centre), the film thread up including the grippers and guillotine, the carriage unit and the conveyor with associated frame work.
Accurate alignment and levelling of all components is essential so an eye for detail is required.
Dry cycling of the fully assembled machine and completion of ISO machine build sign off documents
Interaction with other departments during the machine build process if assistance is required.
Mechanical fitting skills including drilling, tapping, reaming, pinning etc. all required.
Ability to read and fully comprehend engineering drawings is essential.
Assembly of main machine subassemblies within the machine frame.
Work within sub assembly areas may be required.
