A leading software provider covering all aspects of compliance, delivered by a team of experienced food industry experts based in Dublin - Ireland.


Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a 'hands on' finance business partner role in a large, international, multi-functional division of a market leading life sciences group.

With a significant control based and 'number crunching' core, there is also a heavy emphasis on business partnering - to a commercially focused Head of Finance and Finance Director, internationally based subdivision leaders and to an analysis / evidence hungry management team (at both divisional and group level).

Business Process Improvement projects, as well as M&A projects, will also be a significant part of the role.

There will also be a need for this role to deputise for the Head of Finance and Finance Director in meetings with Senior Management, so demands strong influencing skills & the gravitas to develop relationships with key decision-makers.


  • Ownership of delivery of financial MI (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually)
  • Business partner with site leads and provide 'value add' analysis in order to help them make more informed decisions
  • Reporting and relationship owner with key revenue share agreement partner
  • Ownership of all Intercompany profit adjustments and PURP within the division
  • Consolidate, manage and deliver Annual Budgets, Forecasting and rolling Forecast compilation, ensuring a best practice process is in place
  • Development of new business insight tools
  • Internal Control System 'Ownership'; including development and implementation of new key control / financial operating manuals
  • Leadership of cashflow management (Gross Margin and EBITDA generation, capex, working capital)
  • Ownership of balance sheet management assets, liabilities and risk

Qualifications

  • Highly motivated individual with a handson approach
  • Problem solver and decision maker
  • Ability to build and maintain solid relationships, internally and externally
  • Potential to develop in role and appetite to progress their career and other
  • Strong analytical skills, commercially aware, strong interpersonal skills, proactive and advanced Excel skills
  • Industry experience in a complex international manufacturing environment is desired
  • Either ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
