S&B Automotive Academy is currently looking to appoint a Motor Vehicle Trainer to work at our fantastic facilities based in Bristol.

S&B Automotive Academy is a specialist provider of apprenticeships in the automotive sector. Operating nationally, each year we deliver the national apprenticeship programmes for manufacture and independent motor businesses.

We have an excellent opportunity for you to train the technicians of the future. You will be responsible for their training delivery and recording of their progress.

This is a role with massive development potential. We are looking for a tutor to teach all ages of students. You must have a good knowledge of the industry and be qualified to level 3 or equivalent.

If you don't have any previous teaching experience don't that that put you off, we need people that are passionate about the motor industry.

This role will also deliver courses to technicians already in the industry, this upskilling of the current workforce is essential to the industry.

Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver training programmes for apprentices to enable them to achieve qualifications
Deliver practical and theoretical training for nominated groups of learners
Provide guidance and mentoring to the apprentice as requires
To contribute to the delivery and monitoring of course modules and units assisting in the planning and development of courses, in order to contribute collaboratively, economically and systematically to the academy systems.
Monitor apprentices' progress to support the successful completion of end point assessment
To undertake the duties of assessment and accreditation, including preparation of assignments and marking
To monitor and assess learner progress to ensure that learners achieve a high quality experience and excellent outcomes.
To ensure that learners achieve agreed academic targets by providing well defined programmes of learning and opportunities to achieve specified outcomes.
Ensure training premises, facilities and materials are organised as appropriate in a timely fashion
To maintain all records related to training and assessment necessary to ensure the efficient delivery of training programmes

Essential Requirements:

Level 3 or equivalent Motor Vehicle Qualification
Strong Automotive Technical experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent presentation/facilitation skills with a desire to impart those skills and knowledge to others

Desirable Requirements:

Recognised teaching / training qualifications

Safeguarding Requirements:

The welfare and safeguarding of all learners are paramount at S&B Automotive Academy.

The successful applicant will undergo an enhanced DBS check and must recognise the significance of safeguarding within an educational context.

This role requires active contribution to maintaining a safe learning environment, adhering to our comprehensive safeguarding policies and procedures.
