The Opportunity
The
Stock Controller is responsible for receiving deliveries, effective control and receipt of incoming inventory and non-inventory shipments.


This position is accountable for providing an accurate and up to date picture of stock levels at all times, and for the auditing, repairing and maintenance of product quality and includes ensuring outgoing items are in a suitable condition as per customer expectation.


This is a fast-paced role, managing all aspects of product identification, repairs, damage prevention, as well as items that are returned or rejected by the customer.

You will be liaising with team members including interaction with managers of all different areas of the business, both internally and externally, so strong communication, organisation and soft skills are key to this role.

As Stock Controller, you will ensure all Company processes and procedures are followed by your team.


Key Skills Required

  • A selfstarter able to set the standard by his / her own professionalism and attitude
  • Experience working with high value items
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of relevant health & safety standards e.g. manual handling
  • Ability to logically and systematically approach tasks and/or projects, to work under pressure and deliver within deadlines; able to work within a team environment and independently
  • Possess initiative with the ability to think responsibly, make suitable decisions and with a positive cando attitude
  • SAP experience beneficial

Accountabilities

  • Manage regular stock checks in the showroom and at the warehouse, and follow up on any discrepancies, missing items, unlabelled items or otherwise incorrect or misplaced items
  • Manage customer returns, physically and including system transactions
  • Auditing products across the showroom
  • Support any training requirements to help identify damaged products
  • Ensure products are correctly defined in terms of their quality status and maintain any supporting systems to ensure this happens
  • Identify and communicate any damages and potential preventative solutions to key stakeholders
  • Coordinate the transaction of products between business units and any subsequent arrangements where appropriate e.g returned S&C item to be purchased by Luxsale and supporting efficient photography required thereafter
  • Organise, prioritise and coordinate repairs of items with our item repair technician(s)
  • Complete all reasonable requests by line manager
