As well as providing an integrated supply chain to ADM's UK assets in milling and oil seed crushing, We supply a full range of non-grain feed ingredients to the feed and fuel markets, alongside a comprehensive range of seed and fertilisers.
Job Purpose
To meet the learning objectives set by the company, deliver the required information and follow the instructions as set out by the Head of Feedstuffs whilst being responsible for the following.
Your Responsibilities- Gain deep understanding of the UK feedstuffs market.
- Learn, understand and deliver trading strategy specific to UK feedstuffs market.
- Foster relationships with key customers to learn to understand their requirements
- Articulate any market information to the Head of Feedstuffs and wider trading team.
- Assume a thorough understanding of feedstuff trading specifically profit and loss, impacts from trade, logistics and Forex.
- Liaise closely with the Execution and Shipping departments and learn what is required to make cost efficient trading and execution decisions.
- Produce reports as requested by Head of Feedstuffs in order to analyse market trends.
- Gather proprietary sourcing data and distribute to customers as required by the Head of Feedstuffs.
- Maintain mass balance, book and claim and area mapping information for specific requirements.
- Meet the objectives set by the company and follow instructions as set out by Global Head of Feedstuffs.
- To be an outstanding team member and to provide opportunities for other employees to develop their skills and talents.
- A degree in Agriculture, Business, Economics, Mathematics or similar discipline would be beneficial
- High level of numeracy and results orientated
- Assertive, with strong selfmotivation and has the ability to set challenging goals
- The ability to negotiate in challenging circumstances and make fast and accurate decisions
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal)
- Commercially focused and able to translate the product
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office/Excel.
