Software Engineer (C2 Software)

Salary:
Up to £60,000 (doe)

Hybrid working pattern:

The opportunity:


We are seeking a Software Engineer to develop C2 Software for the current and next generation of Maritime Defence Systems.

MBDA produce some of the most advanced missile defence systems in the world and we have to be at the forefront of innovative technologies,working practices, theory and delivery processes.


This role involves activities across the software engineering lifecycle, from discussing requirement change with the Systems team, all the way to being involved with qualification and software releases.

The software development will be in Ada and MASCOTprimarily, across Linux and Windows environments.

Exposure to system testing (on virtualised and real hardware) and host based testing will also form part of the role.


What we're looking for from you:

  • Do you have a passion for software and its successful deployment in modern systems? This is a very hands-on role and requires the continued design and development of the Maritime C2 Software Product Line architecture, supporting the development of safe,secure and reliable products that our customers can rely on.
  • An ability to work across the entire software development process from engaging with requirement authorities to automated target integration and proving, supported with effective documentation.
  • Software engineers that can bring experience of new tools, techniques and approaches that might enable us to evolve our processes to improve our efficiency and sustainability.
