Overview of the Role
The role of Sales and Supply Chain Coordinator requires strong attention to detail and exceptional organisation skills.

This position is responsible for managing the flow of goods through the supply chain and ensuring that products arrive at their destination on time and in good condition.

It is a varied, fast paced, and challenging role that often requires the holder to work with multiple suppliers, customers, and manufacturers in tandem to ensure products are delivered or stocked as required.

This role is also required to work with the Managing Director and other third-party companies to facilitate sales, business growth and logistics requirements.

Main Purpose of Role

The main purpose of the Commercial Coordinator role is to ensure the timely supply of products and information to customers and suppliers and to ensure positive engagement with customers, suppliers, employees, and associates.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Liaise with couriers and transport companies to obtain prices and to coordinate the smooth incoming and outgoing products and materials to meet customer requirements and delivery dates.
  • To liaise and build strong relationships with suppliers, and manufacturers to obtain the required commercial information to enable the creation of customer quotations.
  • Specify, design and purchase packaging and required materials to ensure the delivery of all products in a safe, secure, and reliable manner whilst adhering to company branding guidelines.
  • To create new and amend existing data sheets for company products, materials, and equipment.
  • To be the companies first point of contact for customers, suppliers, and service providers
  • To create invoices and to produce accurate debtor reports highlighting issues to the Managing Director
  • To maintain and update supplier, sales, and customer records.
  • To ensure all customer goods are branded and labelled correctly and that shipping documents are promptly sent to customers.
  • Process and input new customer orders
  • To ensure customers are continually informed about their existing orders including the communication of delays and changes to planned completion dates
  • To support the attainment of monthly sales targets and support in the delivery of the annual financial plan
  • To create and send purchase orders to manufacturers, sub-contractors, and suppliers
  • To maintain a continued and ongoing dialogue with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure they meet their delivery commitments
  • Respond to customer enquiries promptly and professionally
  • To produce product, material, and equipment costings
  • To produce and send quotations to customers whilst ensuring all databases are kept up to date.
  • Follow up with customers on outstanding quotations and update relevant databases
  • To liaise with customers that are operating consignment stocking agreements and ensure that the business has sufficient stock to comply with all consignment agreements.
  • Develop relationships with new and existing customers by providing information about the company's products, equipment, materials, or services.
  • Identify opportunities with existing customers to upsell and cross sell our existing products, materials, and equipment.
  • Prepare & distribute monthly relevant commercial reports and information on time including key performance indicator data
  • To manage the customer complaint process, work with the Managing Director on proposed resolutions and provide information to customers including provision of after sales support as required.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable laws, data protection requirements, company policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Generate new and innovative ideas to improve sales revenue and company profitability.
  • To develop a thorough understanding of the needs of our customers and our target markets
  • Update and maintain all customer and supplier contact lists
