Vacancy - Senior Internal Auditor

  • Are you looking to advance your career in internal audit? Are you seeking a varied role working within a supportive organisation? We are seeking a Senior Internal Auditor based in Liverpool to play a crucial role in the development of our Audit Team.
    Your role


As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our financial and operational processes.

You will work collaboratively with the Head of Internal Audit in planning, organising, conducting, reporting and follow-up of internal audit projects and investigations.

Assessing risks and providing valuable insights to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our organisation and its internal controls.


You will take a lead role in identifying, developing and documenting audit findings, recommending changes and ensuring remedial actions are completed.

You will participate in communicating audit results to key stakeholders and facilitate discussions to drive improvements.

You will support the Head of Internal Audit with the Internal Audit Planning & Risk Assessment process and evolution of the Group's Audit Universe.

You will have a mindset that embraces professional development and learning, to keep abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes, not only to ensure compliance but also to proactively develop your skills and enhance our internal audit methodologies.

Whilst some UK and European travel is required, this is expected to be limited.


What you'll bring


You will have proven experience of risk-based auditing techniques, through your experience of internal or external auditing, and a thorough understanding of business control processes and procedures, backed up by a recognised auditing or finance qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, CIA.

You will have exceptional communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders.


You will be self-motivated, able to work autonomously when required and will be comfortable using your initiative and professional judgement.
