Assistant Educational Psychologists to join the team


Do you want to be part of an innovative, evidence-based, and outcome-focused service, with excellent supervision, and development opportunities?
We are a large team of Psychologists covering all maintained schools across Surrey (mainstream and specialist). These positions will be based out of either Woking or Esher and we also promote flexible and remote working.

There is a well-defined leadershipteam with Senior Educational Psychologists in each of the four Surrey quadrants, so support and guidance will always be on hand.

About the Service


The service is part of Surrey's local SEND offer, working collaboratively with the Inclusion and Additional Needs Team and other areas like Speech and Language Therapy and Specialist Teaching.

We also work closely with colleagues in health and in particularservices for emotional wellbeing and mental health


Assistant Educational Psychologist


We are now looking to further enhance our capacity to deliver a sustainable preventative offer to schools and to strengthen our emotional wellbeing and mental health offer in partnership with health colleagues.


We would like to hear from skilled practitioners who want to gain experience within a local authority Educational Psychology Service with the ambition of becoming an Educational Psychologist.

We will support you to develop a range of psychological assessmentand intervention skills to promote children's wellbeing and inclusion within their local community.

These positions will be offered on a 2-year fixed-term basis.


To be shortlisted for interview, your CV and personal statement will need to evidence the following:

  • Good honours degree in Psychology (or conversion)
  • Eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBS) with the British Psychological Society
  • Evidence of additional CPD which demonstrates professional commitment to Educational Psychology
  • Minimum of two years paid and relevant experience of working directly with children and/or young people within educational, childcare or community settings
