Salary & Benefits:
£31,917 - £39,896 per annum dependent on experience + pension + performance bonus + 25 days holiday & 8 Bank Holidays + retail savings scheme

We are currently looking for a
Costing and Modelling Analyst (Data Capture) to join our Costing and Modelling Team who specialise in cost modelling and estimation.

This is an exciting and challenging role, working at the leading edge ofthe water industry, helping to secure funding for future Investment Programmes and ensuring robust cost and carbon footprint assessments are undertaken during the lifecycle of projects in the Capital Programme.

You will be joining our Costing and Modelling Team, whose role is to:

  • Capture, manage and process data from capital delivery schemes used to develop our own suite of cost models
  • Develop and maintain a suite of statistically based models covering: Capital Costs (Infra/Non-Infra), Carbon Footprint, YW Oncost, Durations and S curves
  • Ensure accurate deployment of models within both Capital Delivery and Investment Planning (PR24 & Beyond)
  • Provide support to Capital Delivery, Commercial Services and Investment planning on best practice implementation of project costing and cost data capture.
  • Actively support business planning activities

Purpose of the role
As our
Costing and Modelling Analyst, you will actively manage and maintain Capital Delivery data capture processes across Clean Water and Sewerage schemes and build on existing relationship with delivery partners across our supply chain


You will also:


  • Support Contract Partners with their contractual obligation to provide Yorkshire Water with accurate cost and embodied carbon data
  • Validate information using documentation submitted by Partners and where necessary, challenge the information supplied
  • Approve data in our Data Capture system, ensuring it is available for modelling in YW corporate systems
  • Track progress and quality of data submitted by Partners and use this to improve the future supply and availability of data
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in our project lifecycle and data capture process
  • Support the development and maintenance of Cost & Carbon modelling activities where possible, particularly as part of PR2
  • Support the development of YW modelling systems.

Knowledge and Skills Required

Essential:

Our
Costing and Modelling Analyst will have a good understanding of capital delivery with previous financial and commercial supply chain experience


You will also:


  • Be a strong communicator, with excellent engagement skills
  • Have a solid understanding of Water / Waste-Water processes
  • Be a team player, but also have the ability to work alone
  • Possess high standards of integrity and ethics

Desirable:


  • Previous Water Industry experience
  • Demonstrable understanding of mathematical / statistical modelling
  • Sound understanding of estimation, commercial aspects of engineering contracts
