Job Overview
Provide support in the preparation, and serving of food and beverages plus related catering duties.

Main Duties
- Takes patient
food orders and processes the information as appropriate. - Prepares the service areas
with the necessary service equipment, crockery, serving utensils, condiments
food etc. - Ensures that
all foods, and fluids are served when
required as per ward requirements and accurately recorded - Complies
with instruction on portion control, presentation and recording
all information relating to the service. - Assists in
food preparation & production when
required. Maintains high standards of hygiene and
food handling. - Promptly and accurately completes due diligence and other
food
safety documentation. - Ensures
all stores are correctly rotated, and used in date order, and any out of date products are disposed of in the correct manner. - Checks
all ward kitchen and departmental fridges for
food
safety compliance - Undertakes cleaning duties including floors, wall surfaces and equipment adhering to COSHH guidelines.
- Reports any
safety deficiencies, incidents, near misses, ill health and environmental incidents to their manager. - Ensures company
safety arrangements and procedures are followed always. Brings any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided to the attention of the Manager - Complies
with standards as set up in the company procedures and through training delivered. - Undertakes additional duties as
required by their supervisor in line
with capabilities. - Communicates effectively
with
all the teams to ensure there is a seamless way of working across the contract. - Brings to life the Mitie values daily and demonstrates the exceptional everyday.

Food
safety level 2 preferred, must be available to undertake mandatory training at short notice to comply
with
food
safety.
- Provides exceptional service to the patients. Sets an example by being professional always and demonstrates product knowledge when enquiries are made.
- Standing mostly
with manual handling & some bending / stretching / heavy lifting
required. - Upholds and reflects the vision and values of the Trust and Mitie in
all actions and behaviours. - Has a good level of both written and spoken English skills
with an excellent attention to detail. - A strong communicator, who can easily interact
with customers and team members. - Enthusiastic and Conscientious. Diligent and committed. A flexible approach, and "can do attitude" together
with the ability to selfprioritise will be
required. - Maintains a good working relationship
with; Mitie employees, NHS trust employees and hospital patients. - Represents Mitie and the client always in a professional, courteous and confident manner.
