Electrical Engineering Lecturer - Full Time - Starting at £20.31 an hour ( approx £150 a day) - Carlisle
We have an opportunity at a local Further Education college teaching as an Electrical Engineering Lecturer. You would be supporting Level 1 and Level 2 Electrical Installation students with their learning and assessments.


This hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm and the hourly rate starts at
£20.31 and increases to £22.21 after 12 weeks.

The start date is asap and at this stage the role is until the end of June - although these roles can often extend, if successful.

You would work on supply through our agency and receive weekly pay via PAYE.


Qualifications/Experience Required

  • Have excellent classroom management skills
  • Be flexible, adaptable and willing to get "stuck in" and help where needed
  • Ability to set consistently high expectations for all students through class work, homework and enrichment
  • Commitment to enrichment and extracurricular provision, in the development of students

Duties/Expectations


You will be expected to
plan and teach well-structured lessons of a high standard to the students you are assigned by following designated programmes of study.

By monitoring students in accordance with agreed departmental strategies you will impart your knowledge and develop students' understanding through effective useof lesson time.

You will be
required to set homework where required.

You will be expected to contribute to the design and provision of an engaging curriculum along with the other department staff.

You will
maintain disciplinein accordance with school policies and demonstrate good practice in the classes taught with regard to; attendance, appearance, uniform, punctuality, behaviour and homework.

You will also be expected to
set high expectationswhich inspire, motivate and challenge students.
