As a result, we have an exciting vacancy in our Business Development team to meet the increasing number of contracts coming out to the market.


More about the role
We are currently looking for a Bid Writer to join our Business Development Team.


As a Bid Writer, you will be joining a dynamic team tasked with identifying and developing new opportunities of growth for the company.

The role will support the production of high-quality written submissions to win new business and retain existing business across our key markets (Leisure, Fitness and Health).

You will work with the Business Development Team and other internal and external stakeholders to develop winning proposals.

This will involve extracting information and interpreting technical solutions to produce high quality responses that are clear, concise and visually engaging.

You will also incorporate win themes, unique selling points and case studies into bid responses. There will be competitor analysis and market research, including collation and presentation of data.

The bid responses will form a compelling narrative, answer the customer's requirements and score as highly as possible against the tender evaluation criteria.

Moreover, we would like to see an:

  • Ability to quickly grasp and assimilate complex information and work under pressure and prioritise tasks based on company needs to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent literacy/ writing skills.
  • Methodical, processdriven and organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop and maintain successful and professional working relationships, including working in a team environment in person and virtually as well as alone.
  • Computer literate with experience in using Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience of template creation and document manipulation, with an ability to put the customer first, tailoring proposals to their needs, wants and requirements.
  • Knowledge of the fitness and leisure industry and wider public health agendas would be advantageous.
