Objective:
To work as a member of the estate security team. For the protection of persons and property and thereby the provision of a safe and secure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management of the daytoday Security for the estate. Providing Front Line Security Services. Liaising with all stakeholders, visitors, tenants and management team. Dealing with their requests and escalating these where required to the estate Security Management team via the estate Security Control Room,
- To carry out regular patrols of the estate working majority of the time externally in marina and docks area.
- Working with the various Front of House Security teams providing relief cover for breaks. Meet and greet visitors and ensure relevant security procedures are carried out.
- The maintenance of good order on site including the protection of everyone therein against violent acts, abuse, and accident.
- The protection of a client's property against loss, theft, damage (including fire and water), and waste.
- The protection of private property belonging to the client, their staff, and visitors against loss, theft, and damage.
- Prevent offenses against the law of the land, UniTrust disciplinary codes, and policies and ensure all are brought to the attention of the management.
- Ensure basic fire precautions are in place and means of escape are clear.
- Providing full reports on all maintenance and securityrelated issues, following up and closing these off.
- Daytoday management of all Contractors working onsite in conjunction with the estate Security Control Room. Reporting any contractor issues to the onsite FM / Estate Security Control Room.
Additional Duties:
- Assist with any Investigations of thefts, complaints, and incidents as required.
- To record and report all incidents
- To record and report all accidents
- To keep security records and logs up to date
- Admin duties to include: Quarterly key audits, fire alarm tests, equipment status logs, and access card audits
- To assist as directed in the event of any full building evacuation / major incident,
- To assist training staff, on the client's security systems (Access control, fire alarms, and intruder alarms).
- To deal with staff and visitors enquiinquiriesrequests
- Understand the callout procedures in the event of a crisis situation arising.
- Additional adhoc administration duties and any reasonable requests from the client in relation to the building management.
Person Specification:
- Must be of good general health and fitness. Be able to work outdoors actively carrying out patrols
- Must have previous security experience, working with Blue Chip tenants.
- Must be able to cope with highpressure situations.
- Excellent timekeeping and attendance are critical.
- Security personnel must have the industry basic job training
- Must hold a valid
Door Supervision or a Close Protection SIA licence. CCTV would also be beneficial.
Aptitudes and attitudes:
- Excellent Customer Service, literacy, and communication skills and have excellent verbal and written English
- Possess an excellent telephone manner
- Report writing skills
Personal attributes:
- A consistently smart appearance in the uniform provided and required by Unitrust
- Reliability, selfmotivation, and ability to use own initiative and work without supervision
- The ability, tact and diplomacy to deal with people including the client, the client's staff and, visitors, in all circumstances including emergencies and other times of stress
- Selfconfidence and an interest in selfdevelopment
- A level of physical fitness to enable the post holder to perform patrol and emergency response duties efficiently and effectively
