About Pulse Creative:


Pulse Creative is our embedded agency for News UK, formed through a WPP-backed joint venture between The&Partnership, m/SIX, and Wunderman Thompson.

Pulse Creative work on some of the country's most-loved brands including The Times, Times Radio, The Sun, talkSPORT and Virgin Radio.

This role will be mainly covering The Times, from Topical and reactive campaigns, reflecting news, sport and media. From political, to humorous, from in-house to OOH.


The agency houses more than 40 experts in everything from creative, design, art working, digital content creation, comms planning, brand strategy, account handling and media planning and buying.

The Role:


We're looking for an enthusiastic Artworker/Retoucher to work as part of a busy team to produce high quality artwork for print material and high-end retouching for our campaigns.

Keen to develop our existing client relations you will be a positive, good communicator, with proven knowledge of design concepts, reprographics, print production and high-end retouching and photo manipulation.

Your down-to
- earth nature and flexibility will mean that you'll also be happy to help the rest of the team with the production of presentation material when it's busy.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Highend retouching & photo manipulation; colour accuracy; colour adjustments
  • Produce artwork to the client's brief and agreed standard
  • Proactively monitor artwork quality, accuracy and consistency
  • Develop an effective working relationship with colleagues and client and provide
  • Knowledge of colour profiles and outputs excellent customer service
  • Good workingknowledge of Digital Artwork processes, their limitations and needs within the design process.
  • Ability to work accurately and provide consistent, quality artwork
  • Ability to adhere to brand guidelines
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite principally InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop (including MS Office Suite)
  • Excellent workingknowledge of production cycle and print technology. Must be able to understand print and imaging processes and know their limitations
  • Experience in preparing artwork for print, preproduction and flight checking
  • Excellent customer service, teamwork and time management skills
  • Good knowledge of IT and server systems, mailing, printing and networking
  • Work with a collaborative DAM system and ensure work conforms to preagreed processes
  • Experience of client liaison
  • Experience of working on ATL, Direct Mail, POS, and general print work
