Job Title:
Quality Administrator


Salary:
£28,511 to £30,504 plus a Location allowance of £1,721. You will receive £28,511 the band minimum. Progress to the band maximum of £30,504 will be via incremental progression.


Location:
Lambeth, however expected to travel within the London area based on operational needs.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the world of Forensic Services and contribute to the continuous improvement and quality of the service we deliver.

As a Quality Administrator you will provide an effective and efficient administrative support function for the Quality Management Unit. You will work closely with technical staff across all forensic disciplines and contribute to the delivery of managed systems.


Key activities
You will be expected to work within Forensic Services Quality Management System and actively participate in the continuous improvement of the system by engaging in the administration of, for example:

  • audits
- competency tests
- non-conformances
- improvement actions
- validation
- customer feedback
- document review
- destruction of documents


As well as:
- suggesting changes to improve the system
- accurately inputting essential data.
- reviewing and monitoring mailboxes
- reviewing audit reports and schedules
- conducting Health and Safety inspections (following training)
- conducting audits across Forensic Services (following training)
- prioritising workload according to the level of urgency of each case.
- co-ordinating requests and responses between forensic practitioners, managers and external customers
- planning meetings, work schedules, assessment visits, training days, etc., in support of quality and capability functions
- interrogating systems to provide data to managers as required
- minute taking as required
- working in partnership with Forensic Services and line managers to develop and deliver change
- understanding and accepting the core principles set out in the H&S Policy in relation to your role, duties and responsibilities and implement those principles and requirements in day-to-day activities.

The role holder will be required to:

  • provide a DNA sample and fingerprints for inclusion on the staff elimination databases
- agree to abide by Forensic Regulator's Code of Practice and Conduct
- comply with security policies
- comply with mandatory training requirements
- comply with and promote Metropolitan Police Service policies on diversity and inclusion both in the delivery of services and the treatment of others.
