37.5 Hours per weekAn exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Plastic Surgery Team as a Biospy Clerk.
The post holder will be expected to:
To provide a high quality, failsafe support service and ensure excellent customer care and experience for patients.
To provide a high quality service to clinical staff to support with the skin cancer pathway.
To ensure that all Trust Policies and Procedures relating to role are adhered to.
The post holder will provide a failsafe process for pathology results by prioritising pathology results for skin cancer patients.
The post holder will support the efficient processing of information and communication as required and ensure that pathology results are accurately accessed and processed to ensure that patients are not lost to follow up.
The post holder will have direct access to cancer results to avoid delays and will link directly with Consultants, Cancer Nurse Specialists and secretaries to ensure an efficient patient pathway.

The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough is a designated major trauma centre and provides all its specialties from one site which is unique for a hospital of its size.
It provides a wide range of district general hospital services and specialist services such as neurosciences, renal medicine, spinal injuries, major trauma, cardiothoracics, vascular surgery and cancer services.
It has 1,024 beds, a 24-hour acute admissions unit and an emergency department which houses the major trauma centre for Durham, East Cleveland, Tees Valley and North Yorkshire and has its own helipad.
In 2012 the Middlesbrough hospital completed a £35 million redevelopment of its cancer services and is now proud to provide some of the best facilities in Europe.
The James Cook University Hospital has a modern, central operating suite containing 20 well-equipped theatres and a 16-bedded intensive care unit.
There is also an Institute of Learning, Research and Innovation on site, embracing postgraduate medical education, undergraduate teaching centre, nurse training school, the school of radiography and library facilities.
The Friarage Hospital in Northallerton is an essential part of our organisation and an important point of delivery for the community.
