We have the exciting opportunity to join our fast-paced and quickly expanding company as an Operations Assistant based at our headquarters in Bicester, Oxfordshire.


Purpose of the Position:


This is a hands-on role with the primary objective to provide support to the senior management team in smooth running of daily production operations.


Key Activities & Responsibilities:


  • Print production labels against the plan for the sign off
  • Collect daily paperwork and check for accuracy, ensuring delivery traceability is maintain
  • Collect and input production relevant data (e.g. yield analysis, waste report, technical documentation, GMP, maintenance records, stocktakes
  • Print, collate and issue orders to the team to pick/process
  • Process invoices on Sage
  • Investigate invoice queries and close them out in a timely manner
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal departments to resolve daily issues
  • Enter periodic stock take data on stock management system and submit to the finance team
  • Complete and send preadvise forms as advised by the management team
  • Book transport and communicate delivery schedule to the team
  • Help investigate and follow up on all customer complaints and resolve internally/externally as required
  • In conjunction with the management team and planning team, investigate and respond to customer related queries
  • Work on production related projects exploring continuous improvement, cost control and reduction where beneficial or as instructed by the line manager
  • To work in a team based environment where all managers/employees work together for the good of the business
  • Via both formal and informal meetings, ensure that your line managers are kept updated on any opportunities or threats that could affect the business
  • Must be able to commit to working shift patterns as and when the job demand
  • Maintain and contribute to a working knowledge of Absolute Taste policies and regulations
  • To carry out any relevant tasks as directed by the management team of Absolute Taste

Key Attributes:


  • Ability to coordinate production activities under pressure
  • Highly numerate with good understanding of written and spoken English
  • Punctual and reliable
  • IT literate, mainly Word, Excel, Outlook

The role:


  • 30 hours per week (5 days out of 7)
  • Must be able to work Sundays upon request
  • Shift times are 9am to 3pm
