Role:

Accountancy practice based in Central London is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper, based in Wales, to expand operations and support our growing client base in the area.

Duties:

Supervise an extensive support team, reviewing client work and providing training and guidance where required
Be the initial point of contact for all financial matters across allocated productions.
Compile and update all production finance information (e.g. production budget, cost reports, cashflows, edit schedules).
Work with production managers to ensure accurate financial control of all production costs.
Monitor all spend for the productions, including supplier/freelancer invoice submission, petty cash spend, expense claims (ensuring correct invoicing and paperwork are submitted at all times).
Review cost reports on a regular basis, including current spend and projected costs and meet at regular intervals with production managers to correctly reflect current position.
Prepare monthly cash flows with accurate outflow and realistic inflow projections. Invoice broadcasters and monitor outstanding debt adjusting the cash flow projections accordingly.
Travelling to the location production offices where required to help with set up and ongoing production finance issues.
Carry out ad hoc projects when required (e.g. budget checks).

Skills:

Previous experience of working as a Production Accountant, or related working in the TV/Film Production industry is preferred, but not required.
Ability to manage a large project (with fast changing demands) and prioritise tasks accordingly.
Excellent communication skills.
Demonstrate a financial awareness and understanding of basic accounting principles.
Enjoys working as part of a team.
Able to prioritise workload.

Salary Dependent on experience.
