The University of South Wales is currently recruiting for a Data Returns Officer to join our Academic Registry, and to support the statutory returns activity, within a busy team.

The role reports to the Funding Compliance Principal Officer with the Student Records, Returns and Systems team and is a permanent post.


Activities:


As a Data Returns Officer you will lead on various aspects of student funding and compliance activities, as well as supporting the Principal Officer to deliver their responsibilities.

The primary focus will be supporting the system administration of Degree Apprentice solution (APTEM) to ensure the timely collection of data, supporting the Principal Officer in preparation of various funding returns to the relevant funding councils and undertaking data quality work across Academic Registry, working with colleagues across the Academic Registry and the wider University, ensuring processes are in place to ensure high quality, timely and accurate data.


About you:


You will be a great communicator, motivated and enthusiastic with experience in the delivery of administration services in any sector as university experience is not necessary, although relevant experience would be beneficial.

You will have all the IT skills to work in a modern office environment, especially in relation to IT solutions and data manipulation.

You will need to be able to write succinct and accurate summaries of discussion, and to take follow up actions, managing your own workload.

You will need to possess an attention to detail and be willing to resolve process issues when necessary.

Location of Work:


The primary location of work for this role will be the Pontypridd campus, although staff will need to travel and work at any of the three USW campuses, the other being in Cardiff and Newport.

This is a full-time permanent role. A flexible approach to working hours may be necessary, with some work occasionally taking place outside normal office hours. We are working under a hybrid pilot and therefore working from home for part of the week is offered.
