Warehouse Operative, Gateshead

Monday to Friday £10.61 ph

Operate 5-ton overhead gantry cranes in dual and single hoist operation via radio remote / pendant control safely by always taking your hand / body positioning into consideration.

Cut lengths of steel accurately to precise measurements from cutting notes, by using fully or semi-automated band saws / cold saws.

You will act on instructions from Foreman in respect of work schedules and to satisfy job / production output.

Store processed material in designated Warehouse Bay(s) and ensure product is stored safely and accessible in line with company working practices.

Undertake stock checks as required.

Complete all relevant paperwork to the standard required as per your training and check material picked with measuring equipment provided prior to cutting material, to ensure correct size and length is being supplied for the job.

Health and Safety
- wear required uniform and PPE at all times, whilst on site ie

Hard hat, Safety glasses/visor, Ear defenders, Hi Viz, Overalls and Safety boots. _Report all issues, work based concerns, seek clarification if unsure. Follow standards learned through training.
