Hitachi Energy are hiring senior professional to join as a Service Operations Team Lead.

The Operations Team Lead is the leader for operational execution of Service Level Agreements (SLA), Lifecycle Projects, Power Quality Service and Substations Audits for the Service Solutions business across the UK.

Directly leading a team of project managers, coordinators, field based technical engineers and technicians with operational, programme and commercial responsibility for profitable execution of the Service Solutions operational business, ensuring the safety of all operational staff, delivering the SLA and projects portfolio, owning health, safety, sustainability, quality as well as financial targets and forecasts for the operational element of the business.

Developing the team to meet the future requirements of the business and compliance with policies, procedures, and directives.


Responsibilities:


  • Safety & Integrity: Responsible to lead, implement and sponsor Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and all other business compliance standards and regulations across all operational functions of the service solutions unit. Accountable to ensure a safe work environment and continuous improvement in HSE processes and integrity performance. Strong working knowledge of Operational Safety rules is essential
  • People Leadership & Development: Accountable that all operational functions are properly organized, staffed and directed. Accountable to build an effective, capable and highperforming operations organization. Responsible to develop talent, review operational effectiveness, performing competence assessments and continuous skillupgrades across the operations unit.
  • Strategy: Responsible to execute a customerfocused Operations strategy for the operations unit, derived from the overall business and functional strategy developed for the BU/Hub. Accountable for its relentless execution.
  • End-ToEnd Operation: Accountable for a sustainable and effective E2E valuechain for the operations activities, from Customer to Supplier and from Order to Delivery (Products, Projects & Service). Accountable for the effective deployment of the respective Procurement and Logistics strategy for the Service Solutions Unit.

Project Management:
Owns and is accountable to deliver KPIs in line with Hitachi Energy UK Ltd expectations.

Accountable to deliver targets for Operations:
Safety, Quality & Customer Satisfaction, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity


As applicable:
deploys and manages Integrated Project Management system for Project & SLA execution. Responsible for on-time/on-margin project and SLA execution and to deliver EBIT and cash.

  • Quality: Accountable for the effective deployment of Hitachi Energy UK Ltd Quality strategy for the department. Responsible for Quality assurance, Quality control and for the implementation of an integrated quality management system.

Customer Satisfaction:
Responsible to champion a culture of Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement across the organization. Accountable for the development and continuous improvement of business processes and procedures, and of the overall customer satisfaction.

  • Engineering: responsible to coordinate with the Engineering function so that engineering requirements are planned and executed to meet the operational needs of the project and SLA requirements
  • Budget and performance management: Accountable to operational deliver COGS savings and all other Financial performance KPIs. Accountable to support defining and delivering the annual budgets for CapEx and OpEx expenses.

Risk Management:
Accountable to ensure compliance with global and local standards, rules, policies and procedures related to Operations/Project execution.

In alignment with the respective Group, Divisional, BU and Hub policies, responsible to introduce and deliver LPG/LBU/Site-wide standards and guidelines, standardized processes, and KPIs.

Accountable for operational risk management, validates and improves reliability and effectiveness of business operations.
