Description
Quality Assurance

  • Support the design of the enterprise wide Quality Assurance (QA) and Issue Assurance to drive consistent and clear processes, monitoring, reporting and escalation.
  • Implement QA and audit style common standards, procedures, and governance processes to create and maintain consistent and best in class QA protocols and testing programs across Citi's Business and Function Front Line Units (FLUs).
  • Define and implement standards, structure and associated guidance, and training materials for QA, Control Monitoring and testing activities.
  • Establish strong monitoring routines to ensure consistency and compliance with risk and control requirements.
  • Establish partnership and communications protocol with FLUs, GBRC partners, 2nd and 3rd line functions to drive consistency in approach and accountability to deliver on remediation activities.
  • Ability to supervise and lead other team members where required.
Issue Assurance

  • Conduct risk based review of testing and closure packs submitted by the First Line. This will require the ability to challenge the FLUs' control testing approaches, drive issue resolution for issues identified by Quality Assurance, and improving processes and coverage.
  • Develop and implement centralized testing capabilities to streamline control testing and drive consistency of Issue Assurance across the FLUs.
  • Review the identified issues, ensure the planned actions have been delivered, and provide strategic remediation paths for key issues if required.
  • Support the design and implementation of the Issue Assurance escalation criteria and practices to ensure issues and risks are escalated timely and reporting to senior management occurs appropriately, consistently and at the right levels.
  • Drive insights via tracking and aggregating analysis based on issue trending, key metrics and emerging risks.
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

Qualifications

  • Prior relevant work experience in Business Risk & Controls
  • Prior experience in Financial Services
  • MS Excel, MS Access, SAS, SQL, Visual Basic a plus
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective organizational influencing skills required.
  • Excellent problem solving skills with ability to see the big pictures with high attention to critical details
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategy and process improvement initiatives.

Education

  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
