Precision Proco are looking for exceptional Logistics Opertators to work in the Logistics Department.

The main purpose of the role:

The role involves manual labour and working as a team member sorting parcels and supervising staff;
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the outbound logistic chains perform effectively;
It involves operating a counterbalance Forklift;
Loading and unloading trucks in a timely manner;
Ensuring all staff adhere to Health & Safety policies and procedures;
Ensuring parcels incoming from the production area are sorted in a timely manner;
Take ownership, flag and solve problems concerning carrier's collections;
Communicating and planning to ensure that the space across the site is optimised;
Ensuring that walkarounds are completed at the start and end of each shift and pallets are in a safe place to prevent any damages by the rain or elements;
Ensuring that all staff are using the space wisely when items are sorted and added to the pallets;
Undertaking any reasonable tasks requested by Manager / Supervisor;
Providing training to any new staff, making sure they are made aware of company's procedures and processes;
The Role involves being included on some weekend shifts during peak so applicants must be willing to work weekends.

Skills and Experience:

Good written and verbal communication, customer service and interpersonal skills;
Computer literate and numerate;
Good knowledge of inbound and outbound logistic best practices;
Proven experience in working in a logistics/sortation environment;
Good timekeeping;
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills;
Careful and through attitude with a good work ethic.

Salary:
From £18,525.00 per year
