Data Engineer - London - £65k DoE


I am currently working with a market-leading organisation who are looking to for a Data Engineer to join their team and help them in their goal of enhancing the way data is used in their specialist industry.

In this role you will use data from both internal and external sources and work on maximising the efficiency of data solutions across the organisation.

You will work hands on across the full project lifecycle, working closely with other members of the data team as well as non-technical stakeholders.

In this role you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

This organisation will invest significant time and resources into your growth as an individual and you will have the opportunity to work with both on premise and cloud based data sources.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for some of the following areas.

  • Maintain and develop data platform solutions
  • Work on full project life cycle from gathering and understanding of requirements to creation of data feeds for data visualisation requests
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines
  • Document data requirements, translating nontechnical requirements into technical specifications
  • Identify opportunities for data quality improvements
This is a salaried role paying up to £65,000 per year depending on experience. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of the organisations Central London office.

To be successful in this role you will have.

  • Previous experience working in a Data Engineering role.
  • Experience creating data pipelines for ETL purposes utilising SSIS and Azure Data Factory
  • Strong SQL coding experience; working with complex datasets and advanced functions
  • Experience designing, developing and implementing data warehouse solutions
  • Experience working with Power BI will be beneficial
  • SSAS experience would be beneficial
